9:18 Then I again fell down before the Lord for forty days and nights; I ate and drank nothing because of all the sin you had committed, doing such evil before the Lord as to enrage him.

Ulangan 14:23

14:23 In the presence of the Lord your God you must eat from the tithe of your grain, your new wine, ¹  your olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the place he chooses to locate his name, so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always.

20:19 If you besiege a city for a long time while attempting to capture it, ²  you must not chop down its trees, ³  for you may eat fruit ⁴  from them and should not cut them down. A tree in the field is not human that you should besiege it! ⁵

Presentation of the Third-year Tithe

26:12 When you finish tithing all ⁶  your income in the third year (the year of tithing), you must give it to the Levites, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows ⁷  so that they may eat to their satisfaction in your villages. ⁸
