9:18 A third of humanity was killed by these three plagues, that is, ¹  by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur that came out of their mouths.

11:14 The second woe has come and gone; ²  the third is coming quickly.

[9:18]  ¹ tn The phrase ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς καὶ τοῦ καπνοῦ καὶ τοῦ θείου τοῦ ἐκπορευομένου ἐκ τῶν στομάτων αὐτῶν (“by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur that came out of their mouths”) is taken as epexegetical (explanatory) to the phrase τῶν τριῶν πληγῶν τούτων (“these three plagues”).
