Yehezkiel 13:5

13:5 You have not gone up in the breaks in the wall, nor repaired a wall for the house of Israel that it would stand strong in the battle on the day of the Lord.

Yehezkiel 13:11

13:11 Tell the ones who coat it with whitewash that it will fall. When there is a deluge of rain, hailstones ¹  will fall and a violent wind will break out. ² 

Yehezkiel 13:14

13:14 I will break down the wall you coated with whitewash and knock it to the ground so that its foundation is exposed. When it falls you will be destroyed beneath it, ³  and you will know that I am the Lord.

Yehezkiel 26:4

26:4 They will destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers. I will scrape her soil ⁴  from her and make her a bare rock.

Yehezkiel 26:12

26:12 They will steal your wealth and loot your merchandise. They will tear down your walls and destroy your luxurious ⁵  homes. Your stones, your trees, and your soil he will throw ⁶  into the water. ⁷ 

Yehezkiel 37:22

37:22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over them all. They will never again be two nations and never again be divided into two kingdoms. ⁸

[13:11]  ² sn A violent wind will break out. God’s judgments are frequently described in storm imagery (Pss 18:7-15; 77:17-18; 83:15; Isa 28:17; 30:30; Jer 23:19; 30:23).

[13:14]  ³ tn Or “within it,” referring to the city of Jerusalem.

[26:12]  ⁵ tn Heb “desirable.”

[26:12]  ⁷ tn Heb “into the midst of the water.”
