Yehezkiel 20:12

20:12 I also gave them my Sabbaths ¹  as a reminder of our relationship, ²  so that they would know that I, the Lord, sanctify them. ³ 

Yehezkiel 33:4

33:4 but there is one who hears the sound of the trumpet yet does not heed the warning. Then the sword comes and sweeps him away. He will be responsible for his own death. ⁴ 

Yehezkiel 36:32

36:32 Understand that ⁵  it is not for your sake I am about to act, declares the sovereign Lord. Be ashamed and embarrassed by your behavior, O house of Israel.

[20:12]  ¹ sn Ezekiel’s contemporary, Jeremiah, also stressed the importance of obedience to the Sabbath law (Jer 17).

[20:12]  ³ tn Or “set them apart.” The last phrase of verse 12 appears to be a citation of Exod 31:13.
