Yehezkiel 20:21

20:21 “‘But the children ¹  rebelled against me, did not follow my statutes, did not observe my regulations by carrying them out (the one who obeys ²  them will live by them), and desecrated my Sabbaths. I decided to pour out ³  my rage on them and fully vent my anger against them in the wilderness.

Yehezkiel 22:26

22:26 Her priests abuse my law and have desecrated my holy things. They do not distinguish between the holy and the profane, ⁴  or recognize any distinction between the unclean and the clean. They ignore ⁵  my Sabbaths and I am profaned in their midst.

[22:26]  ⁴ tn Or “between the consecrated and the common.”

[22:26]  ⁵ tn Heb “hide their eyes from.” The idiom means to disregard or ignore something or someone (see Lev 20:4; 1 Sam 12:3; Prov 28:27; Isa 1:15).
