Yehezkiel 23:36

23:36 The Lord said to me: “Son of man, are you willing to pronounce judgment ¹  on Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominable deeds!

Yehezkiel 27:31

27:31 they will tear out their hair because of you and put on sackcloth,

and they will weep bitterly over you with intense mourning. ² 

Yehezkiel 28:6

28:6 “‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says:

Because you think you are godlike, ³ 

Yehezkiel 36:13

36:13 “‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Because they are saying to you, “You are a devourer of men, and bereave your nation of children,”

Yehezkiel 37:3

37:3 He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said to him, “Sovereign Lord, you know.”

[23:36]  ¹ tn Heb “will you judge.” Here the imperfect form of the verb is probably used with a desiderative nuance. Addressed to the prophet, “judge” means to warn of or pronounce God’s impending judgment. See 20:4; 22:2.

[27:31]  ² tn Heb “and they will weep concerning you with bitterness of soul, (with) bitter mourning.”

[28:6]  ³ tn Heb “because of your making your heart like the heart of gods.”
