Yehezkiel 30:21

30:21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm ¹  of Pharaoh king of Egypt. ²  Look, it has not been bandaged for healing or set with a dressing so that it might become strong enough to grasp a sword.

33:22 Now the hand of the Lord had been on me ³  the evening before the refugee reached me, but the Lord ⁴  opened my mouth by the time the refugee arrived ⁵  in the morning; he opened my mouth and I was no longer unable to speak. ⁶ 

[30:21]  ¹ sn The expression “breaking the arm” indicates the removal of power (Ps 10:15; 37:17; Job 38:15; Jer 48:25).

[33:22]  ³ tn The other occurrences of the phrase “the hand of the Lord” in Ezekiel are in the context of prophetic visions.

[33:22]  ⁵ tn Heb “by the time of the arrival to me.” For clarity the translation specifies the refugee as the one who arrived.
