32:19 Say to them, ¹  ‘Whom do you surpass in beauty? ²  Go down and be laid to rest with the uncircumcised!’

[32:19]  ¹ tc The LXX places this verse after v. 21.

[32:19]  tn The words “say to them” are added in the translation for clarity to indicate the shift in addressee from the prophet to Egypt.

[32:19]  ² tn Heb “pleasantness.”

[40:38]  ³ tc The MT reads “jambs of the gates” which does not make sense in a context discussing one chamber. The emendation to “porch” is similar to v. 14. See D. I. Block, Ezekiel (NICOT), 2:530.
