Yeremia 49:32

49:32 Their camels will be taken as plunder.

Their vast herds will be taken as spoil.

I will scatter to the four winds

those desert peoples who cut their hair short at the temples. ¹ 

I will bring disaster against them

from every direction,” says the Lord. ² 

Yeremia 38:2

38:2 “The Lord says, ‘Those who stay in this city will die in battle or of starvation or disease. ³  Those who leave the city and surrender to the Babylonians ⁴  will live. They will escape with their lives.’” ⁵ 

Yeremia 39:18

39:18 I will certainly save you. You will not fall victim to violence. ⁶  You will escape with your life ⁷  because you trust in me. I, the Lord, affirm it!”’” ⁸
