Yesaya 52:10

52:10 The Lord reveals ¹  his royal power ² 

in the sight of all the nations;

the entire ³  earth sees

our God deliver. ⁴ 

Yesaya 59:2

59:2 But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God;

your sins have caused him to reject you and not listen to your prayers. ⁵ 

Yesaya 59:13

59:13 We have rebelled and tried to deceive the Lord;

we turned back from following our God.

We stir up ⁶  oppression and rebellion;

we tell lies we concocted in our minds. ⁷ 

[52:10]  ¹ tn Heb “lays bare”; NLT “will demonstrate.”

[52:10]  ² tn Heb “his holy arm.” This is a metonymy for his power.

[52:10]  ³ tn Heb “the remote regions,” which here stand for the extremities and everything in between.

[52:10]  ⁴ tn Heb “the deliverance of our God.” “God” is a subjective genitive here.

[59:2]  ⁵ tn Heb “and your sins have caused [his] face to be hidden from you so as not to hear.”

[59:13]  ⁶ tn Heb “speaking.” A new sentence was started here in the translation for stylistic reasons.
