Yosua 10:34

10:34 Joshua and all Israel marched from Lachish to Eglon. They deployed troops ¹  and fought against it.

Yosua 17:12

17:12 But the men ²  of Manasseh were unable to conquer these cities; the Canaanites managed ³  to remain in those areas.

[10:34]  ¹ tn Heb “they encamped against it.”

[17:12]  ² tn Heb “sons”; “men” has been used in the translation because the context involves the conquest of cities; therefore, warriors (hence males) would be in view here.

[17:12]  ³ tn Or “were determined.”
