Yosua 7:7

7:7 Joshua prayed, ¹  “O, Master, Lord! Why did you bring these people across the Jordan to hand us over to the Amorites so they could destroy us?

Yosua 10:12

10:12 The day the Lord delivered the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua prayed to the Lord before Israel: ² 

“O sun, stand still over Gibeon!

O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon!”

Yosua 22:24

22:24 We swear we have done this because we were worried that ³  in the future your descendants would say to our descendants, ‘What relationship do you have with the Lord God of Israel? ⁴ 

Yosua 22:27

22:27 but as a reminder to us and you, ⁵  and to our descendants who follow us, that we will honor the Lord in his very presence ⁶  with burnt offerings, sacrifices, and tokens of peace. ⁷  Then in the future your descendants will not be able to say to our descendants, ‘You have no right to worship the Lord.’ ⁸

24:2 Joshua told all the people, “Here is what the Lord God of Israel says: ‘In the distant past your ancestors ⁹  lived beyond the Euphrates River, ¹⁰  including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor. They worshiped ¹¹  other gods,

Yosua 24:15

24:15 If you have no desire ¹²  to worship ¹³  the Lord, choose today whom you will worship, ¹⁴  whether it be the gods whom your ancestors ¹⁵  worshiped ¹⁶  beyond the Euphrates, ¹⁷  or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But I and my family ¹⁸  will worship ¹⁹  the Lord!”

[10:12]  ² tn Heb “Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day the Lord placed the Amorites before the sons of Israel and he said in the eyes of Israel.” It is uncertain whether the phrase “before the sons of Israel” modifies the verb “placed” (as in the present translation, “delivered the Amorites over to the Israelites”) or the verb “spoke” (“Joshua spoke to the Lord before the sons of Israel in the day the Lord delivered over the Amorites”).
