Barangkali qasr ez-Za'feran modern, kr 16 km di utara S Amon, di daerah Sihon dekat perbatasan timur orang Amori. Kedemot adalah kota orang Lewi (Yos 21:37; 1 Taw 6:79), sebagian dari warisan Ruben (Yos 13:18) yg memberi namanya pada daerah pasir yg dekat (Ul 2:26).
