Mazmur 92:12-15

92:12 The godly ¹  grow like a palm tree;

they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon. ² 

92:13 Planted in the Lord’s house,

they grow in the courts of our God.

92:14 They bear fruit even when they are old;

they are filled with vitality and have many leaves. ³ 

92:15 So they proclaim that the Lord, my protector,

is just and never unfair. ⁴ 

Wahyu 7:9

7:9 After these things I looked, and here was ⁵  an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, ⁶  people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands.

[92:12]  ² sn The cedars of the Lebanon forest were well-known in ancient Israel for their immense size.

[92:14]  ³ tn Heb “they are juicy and fresh.”

[92:15]  ⁴ tn Heb “so that [they] proclaim that upright [is] the Lord, my rocky summit, and there is no injustice in him.”

[7:9]  ⁵ tn The phrase “and here was” expresses the sense of καὶ ἰδού (kai idou).
