  From all the dark places of earth’s heathen races, O see how the thick shadows fly! The voice of salvation awakes every nation, Come over and help us, they cry. Refrain The kingdom is coming, O tell ye the story, God’s banner exalted shall be! The earth shall be full of His knowledge and glory, As waters that cover the sea. The sunlight is glancing o’er armies advancing To conquer the kingdoms of sin; Our Lord shall possess them, His presence shall bless them, His beauty shall enter them in. Refrain With shouting and singing, and jubilant ringing, Their arms of rebellion cast down; At last every nation the Lord of salvation Their King and Redeemer shall crown! Refrain

  On, like the true and brave; In Him, the strong to save, Our boast shall be; The world for Christ we sing, Our high exalted King, Whose praise from all shall ring O’er land and sea. • [Yoh 7:37] Fountain Of Never Ceasing Grace

  Fountain of never ceasing grace, Thy saints’ exhaustless theme, Great object of immortal praise, Essentially supreme; We bless Thee for the glorious fruits Thine incarnation gives; The righteousness which grace imputes, And faith alone receives. Whom heaven’s angelic host adores, Was slaughtered for our sin; The guilt, O Lord was wholly ours, The punishment was Thine: Our God in the flesh, to set us free, Was manifested here; And meekly bare our sins, that we His righteousness might wear. Imputatively guilty then Our substitute was made, That we the blessings might obtain For which His blood was shed: Himself He offered on the cross, Our sorrows to remove; And all He suffered was for us, And all He did was love. In Him we have a righteousness, By God Himself approved; Our rock, our sure foundation this, Which never can be moved. Our ransom by His death He paid, For all His people giv’n, The law He perfectly obeyed, That they might enter Heav’n. As all, when Adam sinned alone, In his transgression died, So by the righteousness of One, Are sinners justified, We to Thy merit, gracious Lord, With humblest joy submit, Again to Paradise restored, In Thee alone complete. Our souls His watchful love retrieves, Nor lets them go astray, His righteousness to us He gives, And takes our sins away: We claim salvation in His right, Adopted and forgiv’n, His merit is our robe of light, His death the gate of Heav’n.

• [Yoh 7:37] Ye Thirsty For God

  Ye thirsty for God, to Jesus give ear, And take, through His blood, a power to draw near; His kind invitation ye sinners embrace, Accepting salvation, salvation by grace. Sent down from above, who governs the skies, In vehement love to sinners He cries, “Drink into My Spirit, who happy would be, And all things inherit by coming to Me.” O Savior of all, Thy Word we believe! And come at Thy call, Thy grace to receive; The blessing is given wherever Thou art. The earnest of Heaven is love in the heart. To us at Thy feet the Comforter give, Who gasp to admit Thy Spirit, and live; The weakest believers acknowledge for Thine, And fill us with rivers of water divine.

• [Yoh 7:1] Stranger Of Galilee, The

  In fancy I stood by the shore, one day, Of the beautiful murm’ring sea; I saw the great crowds as they thronged the way Of the Stranger of Galilee; I saw how the man who was blind from birth, In a moment was made to see; The lame was made whole by the matchless skill Of the Stranger of Galilee. Refrain And I felt I could love Him forever, So gracious and tender was He! I claimed Him that day as my Savior, This Stranger of Galilee. His look of compassion, His words of love, They shall never forgotten be; When sin sick and helpless He saw me there, This Stranger of Galilee; He showed me His hand and His riven side, And He whispered, “It was for thee!” My burden fell off at the piercèd feet Of the Stranger from Galilee. Refrain I heard Him speak peace to the angry waves, Of that turbulent, raging sea; And lo! at His word are the waters stilled, This Stranger of Galilee; A peaceful, a quiet, and holy calm, Now and ever abides with me; He holdeth my life in His mighty hands, This Stranger of Galilee. Refrain Come ye who are driven, and tempest tossed, And His gracious salvation see; He’ll quiet life’s storms with His “Peace, be still!” This Stranger of Galilee; He bids me to go and the story tell— What He ever to you will be, If only you let Him with you abide, This Stranger of Galilee.
